First with New ICC regulations

The first match with the New ICC regulations was played between England and Australia(Match 1 of the NatWest Challenge) on the 7th of July.

Vikram Solanki was the Supersub for England, Brad Hogg was the Supersub for Australia.

Vikram Solanki became the first man to be become the Supersub replacing Simon Jones in the squad. Solanki did not get a chance to bat. Brad Hogg was the second man as the Supersub, He became the first Supersub to take a wicket and he was the only wicket-taker for Australia.

Both teams used the Powerplays in the first 20 overs.

Umpires signals

  1. If the Umpire signals a T, it means the Supersub is introduced into playing eleven.
  2. If the Umpire signals a big O, it means the Powerplay is on.

We have to wait for some more time before we give any comments on these new regulations.
