THRILLERS

Hello and welcome, it has been a long time, since I have posted something. Wonderful two weeks of greatest Test Matches of all times. The Ashes 2nd Test and 3rd Test. It has been a great 2 weeks for all the cricket fans. The Ashes will be having the highest fan following around the world now. Even England who are crazy about their Soccer and have the fans sticking to cricket now.

The second Test was a thriller and provided the much excitement. England winning a thriller, greatest test matches of all times. The Third Test was also as exciting as the second one, going to the last ball of the day. England required only 1 wicket to win this too, but Lee and McGrath played 4 overs to survive and end the match in a greatest of draws of all times. Flintoff from one end and Harmison from the other end attacked the last pair. The pair played well to put off every kind of Dynamite thrown at them. Ponting played a great innings of all times to score 156. He was the 9th wicket to fall. He played from the morning when Langer fell off the first ball of day5. He came and played true captain's Knock, a match saving knock. True champion batsman.
More to come, please stay tuned. This is not the end of Ashes, it is the beginning of more to come in the final two tests.

Wi-Fi

What is Wi-Fi?
It is wireless fidelity networks.
It is new, fast and easy way of going online - wirelessly. All u need is a laptop/mobile with 802.11b standard (will explain standards in the forthcoming blog of mine).

Wi-Fi networks consist of two key elements - a wireless access point router and a Wi-Fi enabled device.
The area where u can access Wi-Fi is called a 'hotspot'.

How Wi-Fi works?
A Wi-Fi hotspot broadcasts radio signals from antennas atop buildings, traffic lights, inside cafes, hotels and airports. An antenna has a range of about 300 to 500 feet. The antenna and router provide high-speed connectivity to the Internet.

Some of the hotspots in Chennai are Taj Coromandel, Sify I-Way, International Airport.

This was taken from an article I have read. This is to keep involved everyone in the latest technology.

ASHES 2ND TEST PREVIEW

Edgbaston in Birmingham is the venue for the second Ashes Test. England have done well at Edgbaston. They have won 4 times against Australia and drawn 4 from 11 matches. England badly need a win here to stay in the series. It is better to be 1-1 than 0-2 in the series.

The wicket at Edgbaston has a green top and looks wetter too. This is because of the rains last week. The pitch is expected to be slow.

Seeing the green top the captains would most likely to bowl after winning the toss.

Both teams are unlikely to make any changes to the 11. The only possibility been Collingwood in place of Giles.

All in all an interesting match coming up. Please stay tuned, löök out for updates of the Test.
